Recently I started writing about life with hemophilia for RareDisease.Net, and I’ve enjoyed sharing insights about the OG of my impressively vast collection of diagnostic gems: HIV, hepatitis C, B, Depression, ADHD… did I mention HIV? I’ve embarked on some big adventures over the last two years, from training to re-join a bowling league despite an arthritic ankle to rollerskating for the first time in over three decades.
It’s like MTV’s classic show, Jackass, only without any physical stunts.
Alas, one man’s risk is another man’s whimsical activity. The point of the recent article is that I am minimizing the scope of what is a minor risk, physically, and what is not. And it’s been revolutionary. So, where’s the beef? Right here!
I hope you enjoy the article as much I enjoyed writing and living it.
Positively Yours,
Shawn
